Home / ABOUT WHO ARE WE: We are a part of Community Business Development Corporations (CBDCs), a network of independent, not-for-profit organizations that work in conjunction with all levels of government and the private sector to meet the needs of small business. In Newfoundland & Labrador, there are 15 CBDCs, each dedicated to small business development and job creation. There are 41 CBDCs in Atlantic Canada and 267 like organizations across Canada collectively known as the Community Futures Network of Canada. OUR MISSION: To foster and support small business development in the Coast of Bays Region (of the south coast) that increases the value of the regional economy, enhances local employment opportunities and builds stronger communities. OUR VISION: The CBDC South Coast, a regional board governed not-for-profit organization, is a local trusted and respected professional community business development corporation supporting small and medium size businesses that help realize the economic potential of the rural communities in the Coast of Bays Region (on south coast of the island portion of NL). OUR VALUES: As a Community Business Development Corporation, the CBDC South Coast believes in the region served while supporting small business development and their clients in the Coast of Bays Region (on south coast of the island portion of NL). We are governed by accountability, transparency, and confidentiality while delivering professional service and striving for excellence in support of our clients.
